Hello friends,
This week's post is dedicated to my girls and the red wave every month. I'm not sure if any one else feels this sense of wanting to eat EVERYTHING in sight, which means the works. Craving all the good stuff like pasta, cake, ice cream, etc. I swear the more calories it has the more I will probably crave it. If you do not share these feelings... Well this post isn't for you. Recently I've been kick starting into heathy alternatives and not necessarily counting my macros (yet), but I am very aware of my macros and guestimate a majority of it. So I came up with a healthy -ish sweet dish. Now just because it is "healthy" does not mean you should eat 10 of these a day. Everything in moderation my darlings.
If you haven't heard of Quest Nutrition, I definitely recommend you check them out and see their youtube channel as well for more yummy treats you can create with their Quest Bars. This is my first "innovative" treat that I would like to share with you all. I would definitely encourage you to attempt some other treats they have come up with, but for those on the go and in a rush this is the fastest way to create something absolutely delicious and curbs any sweet craving.
I used my favorite Quest Bar at the moment, S'mores! I divide the bar into four pieces and reshape them into cookie shaped delights. This is optional, but I adore chocolate so I can't not put more chocolate into this treat. I recommend using dark chocolate chips because it has a deep flavor that will most likely be more satisfying than regular milk chocolate and will be a tad healthier, but to each their own. Just pop them into the oven at 425 degrees for about 5 minutes. Be careful and keep a close eye on them because sometimes my oven enjoys defying my needs and burns my hopes and dreams.
Enjoy!
